where to take kids??

im babysitting my niece next weekend and need ideas of where to take her/things to do on long island! she's 5 y/o. anyone have any ideas??

where are you located?

the holtsville ecology center is great. farm animals and playground with tons of kids there at any given time.

Long Island Children's Musuem...they have a lot of fun things to do like the bubble room and the sand room.

Where do you live and how far are you willing to travel? I just got done watching my 1 & 3yr old cousins for the weekend...I've got plenty of ideas!

Long Island Children's Musuem...they have a lot of fun things to do like the bubble room and the sand room.


oh thats what I was going to say. My 6 and 9 year old brothers love it!

oh please tell me your ideas!! im on the nassau/suffolk border, so i don't want to go too far, maybe 30 mins away tops.

she's already been to the children's museum unfortunately... that was my first idea lol.

big cute playground at eisenhower park- then you could do a picnic lunch if its nice out.

Is Boomer's in Medford too far? My niece and nephew love it there! Also, maybe spend some time at Hechscher Park? If weather allows...

adventureland.

there is also a place in Farmingdale like wood kingdom... bunch of stuff inside for the kids to climb on and crawl through.

both are close to the nassau/suffolk border.
