Where & when do I get a marriage license?

Where & when do I get a marriage license?

We live in Nassau County. Also, do we need to bring anything.

If you are getting married in NY state, you can go to any city that has a town clerk, each town has its different rules, one place we called had to have birth certifacte, three forms of Id, etc, the place we ended up going too just needed one form of ID I think, it was 35 cash, maybe 40 I dont remember, I think it has to be no more than 30 days of your wedding date and no sooner than a few days before, Im sorry i dony have exacts, just call yoru nearest town hall nd they can give you the specifics

We went to the Hempstead town hall and took our Birth Certificate and Driver's Licence. It cost us $40

I think it was good for 30days. I can't remember we planned it so we'd get it 2 weeks before we went back for the civil ceremony. We never even got our official license in the mail and we were married!!!
