She went on a trip ( I think business related, but adding on to make it a vacation) to Pittsburgh (I think) last week. Not sure when she is returning.

You guys are the best!!!
I was in Pittsburgh PA for the whole week. National Association of Insurance Women National Convention.
Basically up by 7am and back to the room by 11pm. Only fun things were Pittsburgh baseball game on Thursday (although no one warned us it was a ‘classic’ game with no technology), Friday Cruise of the three rivers and Saturday Banquet were you get all dressed up but don’t dance. LOL!
Missed you guys! Been gone a week and I feel like I’d be rude popping into any conversation!

No offense to anyone from there.. but no.. not a whole heck of lot to miss there.
Jim was most upset by it. He supports me in everything I do and comes to all my conferences and events for NAIW. So he came but I didnt rent him a car since I figured he'd have stuff to do. Apparently not. Downtown closes at 5pm. Not even a movie theatre within an HOUR's drive of the hotel!!!
Good news though .... We volunteered to be bumped from our flight last night. So now we have two free round trip tickets!! Going to use them for next year's conference in Reno!!!

That's sweet that he comes with you.
Jean doesn't come with me, to academic confernces, but the last one I went to was in Chicago, and he met me there on the last day & we stayed for the weekend to see sight see & visit his cousin--that was nice, b/c he hadn't been there before.
I think if it was a place he hadn't been, or if I was going alone, he'd be more eager to come, but he doesn't want to be in the way.
