Where/When to put out favors?

Where/When to put out favors?

Do you put the favors on the tables before the wedding, or do you pass them out as people are leaving? I'm not sure what is the right way to do it.

I don't think there is any right way to do it. It's just a preference.

I'm placing my favors on the table so that my guests don't have to line up with their envelopes to get a favor.

I think the hall where you're getting married will take care of that for you. I orderd mine from the Watermill and won't even be seeing them till the day of. I was told that they'll just be set up on the tables for the guests. That's fine with me cause that's one less thing to worry about.

I am doing wine bottles and my florist told me not to but them on the table because they take up too much room. I guess it depends on how big they are, but I think small items look nice on the tables.

My hall places them at the table when they first come in.

It's your preference and your hall should take care of it for you.

Mine were kinda bulky, so I had them put out at everyones place after they finished the main course.

I agree -- its your peference on the table or handing them out at the end of the night.

I did it at the end of the night when the guests said goodnight to us.

Depending upon the size of your favors you may even consider having a favor table

My favors are going to be on the table beforehand.
