We got our first 'non-invited' guest addition today. I was totally freaking out about calling my friend and telling her she couldn't bring her bf.
I know there's all types of arguments about inviting everyone w/guests but I'm not in that club. We've already invited too many people to he wedding and we're not expecitng too many no's.
What a relief that she was soooooo totally understanding about it.I was really nervous but I just explained the whole thing.
The funny thing is that I think she was actually RELIEVED she didn't have to bring him LMAO.

This just happened to me for the first time recently too! When I asked my aunt if my two cousins were going to be coming her reply was, 'RJ will be coming up with us and Brandon will be with his girlfriend.'
Funny I dont remember ever mentioning that his g/f would be invited! I've never even met her and they've only been together for a few months! But unlike you, I couldnt work up the courage to make that call and say no. Whatever!

jeez, why do people even think about bringing a guest if a guest wasn't invited?.....it's a wedding, not a free for all!
