How did you pick an airline? Did you just go for cheapest rate?
I do not love to fly so I want to make sure I pick a safe one.

Also, did your flight stop in CA before going to Hawaii, or did it fly straight through?

I think Continental goes there non stop but it only leaves out of Newark.

American because we got our flights for free with our miles and it was JFK to LA and then to Hawaii.

I took Continental non-stop flights to Honolulu both times. They were great.

We took American and stopped in Chicago on the way there and Texas on the way back.

We took the non stop on continental out of newark, it was great . We didn't have to worry about missing our connection and we also got a great price $420 each round trp

If you take American, you can stop over in Dallas, LA or Chicago. I actually prefer to make a stop b/c 11 hours straight is just too much for me. But if take off and landing is what scares you the most, a direct flight is probably the best. I know Continental flies direct out of Newark but I dont know about the other airlines.
