My cake was from Black Forest, (the pic is in my aviator) they listened to everything I wanted and we got real strawberries in cream filling inside yellow cake. I have to say I normally hate cake and DH is not a cake person either but boy did we devour this cake when we got back to our hotel, DH said it was the best cake he'd ever tasted lol. I think mainly b/c it was soooo fresh! The cream and the cake it all just melted in your mouth so I highly recommend them!!

can I tag onto this and ask you ladies roughly how much you paid for your cakes? i dont want to use my RH house bakery and I'm curious how much your cakes were...both are beautiful!

Mine came *free* with the RH (prob just included in the price) but I didn't do any upgrades to the cake if that helps everything I wanted was included in the basic cake price. I think fondant is extra $.

we went with Audreys
They dont do tastings, we got to taste fillings but not cake. You can order a sample cake with them.

$20 for a fondant cake. Not sure about a butter cream one. You can call a head of time, it takes a day for them to make it.

Sorry I am crashing from 09, but I wanted to chime in because I loved my e-party cake from Audreys. My friends wedding cake was from them and I started buying birthday cakes there. They are so good and their decorators are amazing.
I also got to taste a bunch of their cakes at the Lands End bridal showcase, I think I ate 4 pieces of cake and each one was amazing.

We went with Black Forest and it was fantastic...tasted so good! We didn't have a great experience with Audrey's when we went...but they do make beautiful cakes too!

Audrey's! It was exactly what I wanted. No fondant and green. They did an amazing job.
We went with Black Forest and the cake was soooo good and it was exactly what we asked for. I saved some (and the top) and we froze it. Just had the last non-top tier piece last night. INCREDIBLE!

My bridal shower cake was from Black Forest and Audrey's made my wedding cake....both were awesome...but I'd go with Audrey's because they made our wedding cake from a picture and it was beautiful (pic in my album)....they did exactly what we wanted and I actually couldn't believe it when I first saw it lol

i was SO NOT PLEASED with Blackforest!
I had a grooms cake made of my DHs mustang and it was HORIBLE looking.. it looked nothing like the car. and I gave them pics of it from every angle. The tires of the car looked flat and smooshed into the road.. i didnt even bother making a big deal of it because at that point i was soupset because i was so excited about having it made for him. it was such a dissapointment.. i will try to post a pic...
ETA add picture Im embarrassed to even post these !!! I understand that it was a car - and that this can be hard to do.. but i felt that the effort put into this was minimal. even the writing on the license plate was dripping and not even written neatly. The tires really made me mad ethough... they were flat and the car looked like a VW bug.
on this one it looks like the car is stuck in mud or something.

I've never had anything from Black Forest but I've had cakes from Audrey's and they were so amazingly moist and frosting wasn't too sweet.
