You do not have to spend much on a bassinet, per my GF she said they stay in it for such a short time that it is a waste to get a pricey one. She said to tell you to spend money on something they are going to be in longer.

If I weren't using my own bassinet from when I was a baby, I would definitely have gotten the one from Pottery Barn. I LOVE IT!

I love PB stuff but honestly, for a basinet that she is only going to sleep in for a few months, I just couldn't justify it for myself. My cousins little girl slept in her bassinet for a total of 6 weeks, that's it. Plus, PB furniture is made by another company and just way marked up in price which annoys me. But that's JMO!
