I like them both...but having been in enough wedding parties and having worn everything from 'drapery' right out of 'Gone With The Wind' to some pretty funky Madonna knockoffs...I'm here to tell you it's not about what's 'in style'...and certainly not about what looks best (at least not in pictures)...it's all about the fit and what looks best on. They are both attractive dresses and I disagree that bm are 'not' suppose to be slinky. I think that if you're ok with it the second dress has a very Gretta Garbo appeal. However, your girls all have to be very slim and preferably tall to carry it off effectively...especially in that color. The first photo offers more in the way of forgiveness and flattery in style and accomodating various figures and their inherant 'flaw'...so, I am inclined to suggest the first dress. Still, my best suggestion is to take your girls with you and have them try both on...you may be pleasantly surprised or you may decide neither one is for 'you' or them. Also be sure to have someone with you who knows about these things...they can tell you what's the best fit...what the best colors are etc. Sales consultants are generally helpful...but often just about the sale...so, bring along a trusted friend, relative or professional ...hey, if you catch a glimpse at some of the things I've had to wear you'll understand why.

I love more flowy dresses since I have a very curvy figure....aka big butt...so I go with #1

definitley the first one. . .it's a prettier dress and more likely to flatter more body types. . .there's no reason to worry about it being the same material as your dress--if it was the same material no one would even notice and if it's different, it's still okay b/c you're not supposed to look the same! it definitely won't clash

both are nice. The second one will not flatter anyone with larger hips or who is plus size so keep that in mind. The first would be universally flattering. If all BM are skinny - either is a good choice
