Okay, so I finally decided on a color. I would like to narrow my BM's dresses down to two before asking my BM's which one they like. I am wearing an ivory ball gown dress with pickups. The wedding will be in the summertime, so I want my BMs to be comfortable, too.

Thanks ladies! I am def. going to rule out #5 b/c although I absolutely love it, I think it's going to be too sticky and uncomfortable for an August wedding (could be 100 degrees that day!)
I am def. keeping #2 in the mix b/c that is my personal fav. (and most of yours) Just not sure about the others...

I like them all, and I'd let them wear all of them!! That's true comfort if they all get to choose their style, and they're all so pretty!

Yes, getting more than one wear out of a dress is defintely a plus..but every bride has said that she wants the BP to wear a dress that they can wear again...at least for all the weddings i've been in...and yet, they are still collecting dust in my closet :-/ Although, I knew at the time that I wouldn't wear them again. Just too 'bridesmaids-y'. I think #2 is very pretty for a summer wedding, but could def. be worn again for a guest at a wedding.

How do you feel about letting them pick the style that's most flattering for them in the same color/fabric?

I'm not crazy about that idea. I know that's the 'in' thing now...but when things don't look uniform and symmetrical it drives me crazy, lol. If they were all the same fabric, maybe i'd consider it.

#2 is my favorite, it is so perfect for a day to night wedding. I am wearing strapless and have a similar dress style for my girls. I don't think it will look wierd. Its not like they are thick straps, I think it is one of those things that only the bride would think about.
