With navy blue dresses??

I understand that I dont want to much blue but I just cant figure out what colors will look good with my dresses. I am going nutts!!

I think they're a bit too much blue, and agree with the idea of cream flowers with blue hydrangea. I think it would look better with flowers that contrast the dresses more than match exactly. And I've heard you have to be VERY careful with dyed roses like the blue ones- the color tends to bleed a lot- on hands or god forbid, your dress!

Yellow and blue look great together as do burgundy and navy blue. perhaps a burgundy flower.

or you could do bouquets of black magic roses (the large deep red ones) with navy ribbon, or a black magic roses with burgundy mini callas...
theres a lot of combos of other flowers that you could use and have navy blue ribbon to coordinate.

or you could take it a step further and have the navy blue ribbon woven into the bouquet, that way you dont have to fake a flower to get that navy blue into the bouquet.. you can virtually use any floral combo that you want!

I am havign navy dresses and am NOT doing navy flowers. IMO, it was too much blue. i am doing white orchids (which have a nice hint of lavender in the middle, a few lavender roses and a few cream roses. I am also adding a hint of waxflower (which is a bright pink) and green fern for that natural look. basically, i am going with colors that GO with navy, not matching it. wish i had a pic for you..

I just noticed you're getting married a day before me! We are on the same wave length with the navy/winter theme! have you picked a BM dress yet... i'd love to see it... i'm still looking!!!

I don't like them either. I'm sorry. I had navy dresses and my girls carried 5 whitel calla lillies tied with navy ribbon and I LOVED the way it came out.

what about going all white with some mini blue roses in it or some other small blue flower or something in pink? if not i would say the second one.

Personally - I think it would be better for lighter blues and creams/whites. You don't want them to look too dark.

I would say #3 with a lighter blue flower. You should have them carry mostly cream with a hint of blue flowers, you don't want them to be too blue. HTH!!

Out of them all probally the 2nd one. You can always add white rosesor white callas(not too many, I love callas) And you need stephanosis(white star bride flowers).

My BM wore navy blue dresses and carried bouquets of white roses with a hint of blue delphinium. The navy/white combination looked really classy.

I think it might be too much blue. Maybe try pinks with a hint of blue or creme with a hint a blue. I wouldnt do blue as the main color in the Bo'ks. JMO

Maybe too harsh/dark?? I would try and soften with some lighter blues and add more creams/whites. HTH!

Here is the link to the Blue Theme thread. There are a lot of nice bo-ks on there that would look really nice with the navy dresses. I personally love hydrangeas and I think that would look really nice

i was MOH in my best friend's wedding (johnny&maur) and we used 'orange' flowers...they were GORGEOUS!!!

Wow. Picture #3 are the bouquets from my wedding!

My MOH wore a dark blue dress and her bouquet is the one on the left (mine is on the right). I wanted it to 'pop' against her dress, so her bouquet had more white/cream than blue, and it really showed up nicely.

I think if you do all dark blue flowers against a dark blue dress, the flowers are really going to get lost. Don't be afraid to do some contrasting colors, just so they show up.

BTW...my flowers were silks, not real.
