We wanted a Saturday September but all are jewish holidays, labor day weekend or booked already. Not sure if we should go for a Friday night instead or sat August? Which do you think most people will be able to attend? TIA!

i really wanted a saturday night, but the restaurant didnt have any available until end of summer, and i really didn't want to wait that long
so we went with a friday night...
let me tell you all 55 people responded yes! not one person declined!
if people want to come they will come!
if you really want a sept weekend, then go for the friday
but the sat in august is good too!

Soo happy for you because I know how much you wanted to have one!! It really depends on where your having it. I had mine on a Sunday during the day bc it was the easiest for my family. The people who wanted to be there came and the rest of the people missed out!! I had a great time!

I would do it in August. A lot of people are away for Labor Day or make plans for bbqs and what not. And this way you also avoid the holidays that weekend as well.
If you decide to go with that weekend, I'd just send out the invites a little earlier than normal.

i'd go for a friday night - it'll be cheaper anyway and more people will probably be able to come - a lot of people go away the first few weeks in august - i've gone away august 7-14 every year for the last 5 years personally and i know it's a huge vacation week.
totally up to you though - people will be back at school by september 24 (if that's an issue for you) so maybe august would be better. also, if you make it like 7:30 or 8pm on a friday, that shouldnt be hard for people to get to that work late (unless you're inviting a bunch of lawyers or something).

I think August. People might have plans for the holiday weekend, and in September a lot of people are still adjusting getting back to school. work, etc.
