which date is better for you?

which date is better for you?

as a guest at a destination wedding...

which date would you prefer??

labor day weekend- so you don't have to take extra time off work, but price may be slightly higher

weekend after labor day weekend- flights and resort much cheaper, also resort much quieter

random weekend in the summer(somewhere between jun-august)- resorts busy, price avg-high

im really thinking of doing the weekend after labor day, because i feel like the resort will be DEAD, kids will be back in school- which is a huge issue for me- my resort will have to be kid friendly- i have two teens i want to attend...and want to make it as feasible as possible for family to attend

and it is a lot cheaper for flights and the hotel that weekend
also hoping weather will be a bit cooler in sept.

I'd say weekend after labor day. A lot of people have their own vacation/plans labor day weekend but the resort would probably be all yours the next weekend!

For me, it would be summer b/c I'm a teacher. i feel more more people are off in the summers or able to take vacations.

Agree completely. I think that price will be a HUGE factor.... Also try to see when the Holidays are that the teens will have off from school. For example, labor day is 9/6 and the following Friday is Yom Kippur and the schools have off.

For me personally i would never go to a labor day wedding unless it was family...

I chose random weekend...

If you send out save the dates in advance labor day is fine!! If not I say random weekend in summer. Weekend after labor day kids are back in school. So that means teachers are back in school and anyone who has kids will be more hesitant to take kids out of school so they won't take time off so it won't be a 3 day weekend type thing.

I'm not a teacher and I don't have kids so as a guest I'd definately appreciate if it were the cheaper weekend. But if I were family or in the bridal party, I wouldn't hesitate to go for labor day weekend.

well the ppl with kids all will have little kids, babies, not school age

except for the 2 teens, and it really wont be a big deal to pull them from school for 2 days

and no teachers

I say Random date in the summer.

I wouldn't do Labor Day b/c flights are going to sky high for your guests! Plus people might have yearly plans (block parties/camping trips etc) that
they might not want to miss.

Regarding the weekend after labor day-if you price packages and the price comes out to be better then go for it. If you have no set date in mind; i'd find which option works out to be the lease expensive for your guests.
