Im going to get my ladies presents, but on top of it Im either going to do their hair or M/U. Which do you think they would prefer? Im thinking most everyone wants to get their hair done...but I dont know if thats just me

For my BMs I'm doing both hair and makeup as an extra gift to them.

I can only speak for myself, but I would personally prefer MU. My hair is short and I can do it myself and have it look nice, but I don't do makeup very well (I don't wear much on a day-to-day basis), so it is always nice to have a professional do it for me. If you think your girls would like hair, go for it!

def. hair. Makeup is nice, but its sketchy. I know my MOH doesnt think anyone could do her makeup as well as she can do it herself. Every girl likes to get her hair did

You are being very generous
What I did was in addition to their gift, I paid half of their makeup- I did not 'require' that they get it done-but they all wanted it-it's all I could afford and they were happy with it

i have been in about 450 weddings ( just about) and i have paid for my hair and make up for every single one
it is SO nice of you to even pay for one - you are in no way obligated to do so - i am having a TINY bridal party and i still cant afford to pay for their hair OR makeup! (i am only having a MOH, BM and 2 Jr BM)

I dont want to require it either but the M/U artist is telling me you need a 5 girl minimum. So now Im stuck. I hear great things about the M/U artist...but shes REQUIRING the 5. So if they want hair too....oh Im just confused!!

I was thinking as part of the gift buying each girl one of those hairpeices from the mall stands. I cannot tell you how many compliments i've gotten EVERy time i've worn one (if you get a good quality one). They also take 5 minutes to put in! Also, it is a lasting memory.
But thats just me... I'm OBSESSED with my hair peice! :)

i say pay for their hair....or even give them all the option....and ask around who wants to get their make up done...this is how much...i need to knwo cause its a 5 girl minimum....if you don't get enough, then maybe look for another mu artist
and to add....I have been in many weddings and the bride never paid for my hair or make up to be done....so you are being very generous in offering to do one

Im kinda feeling a little bit better about not being able to afford it all...because I cant even afford one of them! I have 7 BM, 2 moms, a flower girl....its a lot! Is it bad if I split the cost with them? Is that awkward to ask? I am getting them all robes so we can match while we get ready. Is that enough for the present and half hair cost? You guys are really helping me out. Thnkas so much.
