i'm partial to #1 because i love the little sea horses, but I think #2 looks more elegant for a wedding. you could probably use craft glue or superglue but be careful you don't stick your fingers together!

I like them both--I think it depends on your other colors and the tone of the wedding. If your wedding is colorful and casual, go for the bright ones. If you're more doing natural or subdued colors, all blues and sands, or if it's more formal, go with the real shells. What do the place cards themselves look like?

It is more of a blue/purple formal type of wedding. I haven't picked any place cards yet, but all the ones that I have seen are pretty plain. I am looking for ones that come in sheets, they are easy to put through the printer.

I like them both, but i worry for you about using something 3-d and heavy looking to glue onto a place card. I forsee them falling off and causing you a lot of frustration. If you are looking for a cool efect maybe you could use stamps and different color inks and then emboss with a heat gun or find really cool stickers or stamp and then use like sand on top or something cool like that. I think that when giving the place cards to the RH that they'll get handled a lot and you'll lose some of the cute glue ons.
