i registered for and got the dots set, dont pick that one!!! its not everyday ware. i thought i was too. but then when i received it was more like china. it can't go in the dishwasher or microwave. i'm returning mine.

I like the look of #1. You can always buy open stock to go with this set at the Mikasa outlets.
Although set #2 is cheaper, it has to be handwashed.

I like the look of the first one, but the price of the second. However, neither one is dishwasher safe, so I wouldn't pick either one!

I would go with the one you can put in the dishwasher. Choice #2 is handwash only, that might be a pain if you are using them everyday!

that's tough!! i love the first one, it's a little more modern, but for an everyday, classic look, i'd have to vote for #2
