The CD was our original idea.....we were going to put our collection of songs on it (don't know specifically which yet), put a custom label on it, and place it in a sheer cd cover. Because of cost, we could do 1 per person and maybe have 2 or 3 different versions of CD's....so a couple doesn't get 2 of the same CD.
The coasters are practical, nice, and I think presentation wise, looks better than just the CD. I'm good with either coaster....coaster #1 (LOVE) or coaster #2 (photo coaster)...they're pretty much the same cost and it would be a set of 2 per couple.
I would also have some chocolate at each place setting.
Which do you like??

I like the cd idea! very unique! i feel like i get coasters at every wedding i go to, and if it helps..i rarely use them..

I agree that the CD would be nice. I too have a big collection of wedding coasters that are scattered around somewhere, haha.

I like the cd idea, I think its personalized and it's a nice reminder of your wedding. Honestly to be advertizing your wedding on my table as coaster, personally I wouldn't do it. I hardly use coasters and if so it's a see through glass one that very modern and goes w/the rest of the table when I'm entertaining. JMO I hope you don't take any offense.

i'm doing the CDs myself . The same kind actually the vinyl cds. We're putting all the songs of the day on it from the ceremony to the reception. So you know my vote haha.

wow, so it sounds like maybe the coaster favor is a bit played out?
ok, so with the CD's....do you think they should be presented differently to make it seem nicer? Should I put a ribbon around it or a tag on it or something?

I voted for the CD. I find it to be more personal and if the selections are good, it's one of those things I would just us more in the car or in the house.

I think like a tag or sticker w/ your names and the wedding date.. I like the CD idea.. maybe you can use songs from the reception..

I think I'll do one per couple because I'll also have chocolate hearts in italian favor boxes on each plate setting. We got really pretty cd favor packaging from AC Moore and I bought blank cd's from Staples when they were on sale. I know someone with an industrial burner so we are good to go for way under $100.
