Which Florist offered you the most for your money?
Although I don't have a lot to spend on flowers and didn't think I cared about flowers too much, the more pictures I see, the more I want to have! :o) (That seems to be the case with everything lately.) I'm looking at roses and gerbera daisies as my main flowers. Can anyone give examples of who you talked to, what you're getting, and at what price? Thanks so much! :o)

we asked for pretty much the same thing at every florist and Jack and Rose gave us the best price for that. Everyone else gave us about the same price, but Jack beat them by about $600-$700

Flowers by Rosemarie in Sayville gave me a quote of about $1800 for 17 CP's, the whole bridal party flowers, all the corsages and bouteneires (spelling?). She's wonderful and very creative! Her number is 567-6995 and she works out of a huge workshop she built behind her house

Just make sure whoever you go with that you find out how many flowers they are giving you - the people I saw who were all cheaper were offering almost 1/2 the amount of flowers.

I am going to have to say Flowers by Rosemarie. She is my Aunt! She is giving me an outstanding price! But that is because she is my aunt.
She does have great prices though, I would definately check her out!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tell her, her neice Jennifer sent you!

I am using Flowers by Emil. His prices were great! He is always a very nice man. He gave me a price that was about $800 lower than Burton's...for the same stuff.

katieslp, if you don't mind me asking what kind of centerpieces did you get? That is a GREAT price for all flowers! I too am looking at flowers but with a specific budget in mind. I'm meeting with Jack and Rose but may give FLowers by Rosemary a call as well! I've been to a few but have been turned off by several for differing reasons.

Yes, and double the filler (greenery or baby's breath, etc.).

I absolutely agree, and I say he beat them by AT LEAST 600-700!!

Actually 'getting' the most for your money isn't always what you think it is. Sometimes the flowers are really low-quality, mostly fillers or just very plain and run-of-the-mill. That is a very broad question to ask. When trying to get 'the most' for your money, you may be sacrificing other EXTREMELY IMPORTANT things, such as the integrity, reliability and the reputation of the vendor. Please please please research whatever vendors you are interested in THOROUGHLY before you make any decisions. They may be 'reasonably priced' for a REASON. ANd, no one does something for nothing.
Having said that, I would recommend checking out Murphy & Co. in Bayside and LA Blossom.

I know so many people who used Burtons, so I am using them. I was quoted somewhere for $7000.00. I am getting the same exact thing, it is in my contract, at Burtons for $3000.00. What a steal!!!
