So when I got engaged I expected the word to get around my home town. One of my old friends from Junior High school actually called me up to tell me how excited she was about the wedding!
I haven't had a conversation with this girl in over a year. Just hi and bye stuff - now she wants to come to my wedding. I don't even know her husbands name!
How do you get around a sticky situation like this without hurting anyones feelings? HELP!

True. Thanks for the advise. Sometimes I'm just an over-stressed bride! haha

Re: Which friends to invite/not invite to the wedding
I've had a couple of friends of friends tell me, 'I BETTER be invited to your wedding!!!' And then I kinda didn't answer. . .I think people don't understand what restrictions we're under when deciding who gets to be invited until you're actually the one doing the planning.
But. . .how does this girl get off assuming that she's invited? Whatever. If she asks, you have to say that you have a limit and unfortunately, people had to be cut. If she's married, she should understand.

Basically what I've been doing and having FH do is advise people that we are having a small wedding and we will TRY to squeeze them in but not to be offended if they cannot be invited.
