Hubby's birthday is coming up and I still haven't decided on what to get him (his birthday's on Wednesday!)...So far here are my thoughts:
1) Book a 4 day trip for us -- currently thinking of Colorado, New Orleans or LA
2) Buy him surround sound system he really wants (almost same price as the trip above)
3) Do a bunch of little things - i.e. take him on a weekend trip that's local, get him tickets to a show, etc.
He would love any of the above.

i think trips are always fun and more memorable. i'd def do that - hit up NOLA!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG I love them all....But I think the surround system would be amazing. His a men and thats the type of stuff they enjoy the most.
But the trips are also amazing...not only he gets to enjoy himself but also you do.

I love taking DH on trips!! They make beautiful memories!

For sure get the sound system. Got FH one our one yr anniversary & he set it up in our new house. he loves it!!!!!! it's a great gift! if he's into that stuff & you know he wants it - get it!!!
you could go on a trip another time :)

So I asked him a few days ago if he wants a 'thing' or an 'experience.' He said he wants an experience LOL, which is why I think he'd love the trip. The trip for hotel + flight is almost same price as the surround sound. The surround sound he would literally freak if I got it for him but he also has been wanting to go away on a trip...
Ugh, this is so hard.
Is LA better than New Orleans or vice versa? We love seeing cool architecture and having fun things to do...ahhh.

Okay, I think I might have decided on New Orleans for a 4 day trip...Good idea?! Found a great price for a hotel in French Quarter..is that the best place to stay in!?

all your ideas are great but this is nice you can always get him the surround sound for christmas or something
