Okay, I'm decisive and my FH will do anything to make me happy soooooo...I turn to you gals!
For our honeymoon, we're looking to relax a bit, have lots of fun, and eat really good food (all inclusive)! We've gone on cruises before and loved them. We always do tons of shore excursions and try new things.
Well, we were looking at a 7night/8 day cruise to about 6 different countries. My fear is it being too busy. I want to relax a little.
I am liking the Sandal's 50% off sale now so I got interested in Sandals St. Lucia since it would be all inclusive and we could golf....
So, any input? Royal Carribean cruise? Sandals St. Lucia? Other ideas?
TIA!

Re: Which honeymoon?
Friends of ours went on their honeymoon to Sandals st. lucia and others just went for vacation. They weren't thrilled with it. They said the food was just ok and there wasnt that much to do. I would go with the royal carribean cruise....HTH

Friends of ours went on the Royal Carribbean cruise for their HM. They absolutely loved it. They said it was so peaceful and they enjoyed themselves so much. I would go with the Cruise.

Re: Which honeymoon?
I just went to Sandals Grande St Lucia and I loved it. It's true that the food was only OK in some restaurants, it was better in others, and it also depended on what you ordered. But it's certainly not like we ever went hungry, I'm surprised we didn't gain weight! There was plenty to do, in my opinion. There were watersports, like water skiing, hobiecats, the aquabike, & kayaks, you could go scuba diving or snorkeling, and there's golf at one of the other Sandals (Regency, I think.) We also went on several excursions. And there were plenty of other things to do--water aerobics classes, games, etc. We were never bored, but then a lot of the reason we were there was to rest and relax. On top of that, the rooms are large and comfortable, with all king-size beds. Ours didn't squeak, either. And it's just gorgeous there. I'd love to go back, but I dunno, it cost a lot, and I don't drink at all and my husband doesn't drink much, and I know that's probably a $1000 of the price.

Re: Which honeymoon?
Unless its like a cruise that is unlike any others... maybe a repo cruise, mediterrainian, or tahitian... I would stick with an all inclusive couples resort
I love cruises myself but I'm not going to go on a HM cruise if I can do it any other time in my life... Basically I feel it has to be a really extravagent cruise for a HM
How many times are you really going to go to an all-inclusive couples resort? Once you have the kids, most likely that will be out the window
I passed sandals st lucia on a boat tour when i was there last month and it looked gorgeous!!!!

Re: Which honeymoon?
We actually decided to do a 14 night trans-atlantic cruise with Royal Caribbean for the main reason that we wanted to relax! Neither of us have ever cruised before either so it's something new and probably something that we won't get the chance to do again (cross the atlantic).
I voted for the cruise. Just think you have the option of either entirely relaxing and staying in bed or poolside OR going and doing stuff! (plus all the food you could ever possibly eat )
