I'm thinking of getting locket cufflinks for my FH as a wedding gift to wear on our wedding day. His grandmothers, whom he was really close to, recently passed away, and he always says how he wishes they were going to be at the wedding. I was going to put pictures of them in one cufflink, and pictures of me/us in the other...that way his grandmother are there with him.
They can be monogrammed with one initial - but I don't know if I should use his first or last initial - what do you think?

That is such a nice way to incoporate his grandmothers into your wedding day! I would say to use his last name for the initial.

I agree, if you use his last initial the cufflinks can become a family heirloom that later gets passed down. It's such a sweet gift!!

OMG...what a wonderful idea. My FH was best friend's with his grandfather and he passed away right before we met. We always say that our grandfathers got together in heaven and brought us together. I may borrow your idea if you don't mind...I got all choked up reading your post.
My vote would be for last name initial!
