Which invitations do you like better? (Poll)

(in the pink)

Please tell me what you prefer. Also, tell me what you think considering the square cards with pink wrap are $100 more plus extra postage because of the shape. Also, our colors are pink and green so the writing will be green in both cases. Thanks ladies!

I like the one with the ribbon, but I'm not sure if its worth the extra money.

They're both pretty but I would go with the cheaper one b/c it is just as nice. Things start to add up quick. If you don't absolutly love #1 i would do #2.

I am also considering the pink ribbon one.. Here are my concerns.. Have you seen it in person? I have. The card inside is just a plain white card. You will have green writing on it, right? Well what are people gunna hang on the fridge, just the white card. They will say, oh that is really cute and different.. and then not save the pink part. Also will you frame it? Or put it in an album? How will that work?

I really loved the pink ribbon one until people started pointing these things out to me.. It made me sad...

But then someone suggested getting something classic but with a little modern edge like the other choice you have and tie all the pieces of the invite together with a ribbon..so you still get the cute ribbon into the invite.
Good Luck.. I just started picking these out and it is hard..

Also try www.theamericanwedding.com They have the best prices on both of the cards your looking at...I have checked out a few places....

The top one is a little nicer however the square invites are more postage. That might not seem like a big deal now but weddings have so many little things that add up. Thats why I didn't pick a square invite. But they are both pretty. And you could always search around more. Also do they offer a sample, I'm waiting for mine now before I order.

Thanks everyone for your comments - and thanks Patricia for your really good feedback. I was looking at the American Wedding Album when I found these, so I went ahead and ordered both so I could see them in person. I completely see what you're saying now. That white card is pretty plain.

Also, I feel like I remember reading a post here somewhere, maybe by SonicStef?, where the poster said that square card postage is not more expensive when you are using the 60cent stamps - only when using 37cent. Does anyone else remember reading/hearing that? I'll have to do a search...

Oh, yes. Here was the post from SonicStef:

'Square invites only cost more when they are less than an ounce. If you are paying the 60 cents anyway more a heavier than 1 ounce mailing, the shape no longer matters.'

I voted for #2. number 1 is very nice but a fellow bride posted yesterday and said the paper inside is crappy and feels cheap. You can always do a ribbon on #2 (on top). good luck!
