Depends on the type of clothes and whether you're the type of person prone to leaving clothing in the dryer long after they're finished.
I use regular for heavier cottons and jeans and undies and socks, but perm press for things that wrinkle easily and take those out right away. Then again, I have to do my laundry at the laundromat since we moved, so I have no choice but to take it out ASAP.

Re: which is a better dryer cycle for clothes?
I use Perm press for heavy cottons that wrinkle like khaki's and jeans. ( I think perm press makes your clothes wear faster). Regular for everyday clothes.

better in what way? the more heat, the less wrinkles, generally speaking. the more heat, you risk burning your clothes, or wearing them out faster.
we dry everything on low heat, or the delicate cycle. and we also air dry a lot of things too.
