If you had the choice to put extra money in either music or photo which would you choose?
The reason, I ask, is we have a limited budget. Some people have been claiming photo is the most important, while others claim the DJ/band 'make the party'. If we were to have extra money I'm not sure where I'd rather put it.
What would you do?

I would say photography. Its the only thing you have left at the end of the day. I will look at those pictures a million times throughout my lifetime.

I would have to say photography also, thats the one item that you will have forever after your wedding to look at it, the music will only last for as long as your wedding

I think photography. You will always have your pictures to look back on. I dont think you have to spend a tremendous amout of money to get nice pictures though. Shop around. Our cheapest vendor will be our music.

Re: Which is more important?
photography! its what will capture your day for a lifetime. if you dont like a song the dj is playing just go tell him to switch it up...how off can he really be with what you like if you sit down and go over your music style with him anyway?

I guess then photography is the better choice. That's what I thought. I kinda want a band but in order to get the band we'd probably have to cut back in terms of photography. We might as well get a DJ and spend more the photographer then!

i wouldnt put it in a band simply because that limits you t a certain type of music ..DJ'S are cheaper and have much more variety ... So i would put it in a photographer

I would say photography since pictures last a lifetime, everyone for the most part forgets your music within weeks.. You will always have the pictures of your wedding day
