Which photographer from Duet??

Hi ladies! I just called Duet, after realizing last night that I don't have a specific photographer written down on my contract.

I asked who is scheduled to be my photographer, and he said that I haven't chosen one yet. I was never told to choose one.

So the available photgraphers for my date are:

Alberto, Mick and Sam.


Has anyone used any of these 3 photographers??? I'm kinda pissed that I only found this out now, instead of knowing when TJ or Jay were still available. So any adice would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

I think you mean Nick...not Mick..he was the 2nd one that we used on our day and we loved him...

I do mean Nick.

The package I ordered has 2 photographers and 1 videographer. Do I need to pick out all 3 people, or do I pick one of the photographers and the other is just an assistant that doesn't need to get picked?

After looking at the portfolios on the duet website, I think I like (in order of preference)
1 - Sam
2 - Nick
3 - Alberto

Can I call back and say I want Sam and Nick?

I believe you can just pick the main photographer, not 2nd. The videographer also is picked by the place.. but i would ask to see his individual work so you know what your getting.

I chose Nick from what i saw in his portfolio his work stood out the most to me. It's a mixture of the photojournalistic style and the old fashioned style we have all seen. So that is why i chose him.

Yupp this is correct every 'main' photog (ie, Nick, Sam) has a team you choose the Main guy and you get the rest of his team with your package.

I don't know much about the guys who are available for you sorry

I think i'm going to call Duet and ask to come in, to see these 3 photographers' portfolios, without know which is whose.

I'll just see whose style I like better, with no influence of who it is.

Moral of the story though...

I'm guessing there's no such thing as a bad photographer from Duet, right?

You are able to look at their portfolio off their website.

they are all great photographers so yes no matter who you choose your pics wil be amazing.

I chose Alberto but if Nick was available for my date I may have gone with him!

another small piece of advice..... When you go there ask to see an album of who you want that is of an actual wedding... Like an album being picked up by a bride soon that they have in the back in the studio.

The albums they show you are great but of course you have to assume they are going to advertise that photgs best shots in those.

I asked this when I was there and Eric was more than accomodating.

We choose Sam because I liked the way his pics looked for us - more our taste.

Thanks for all the input girls.

I think I'm going to call them and see if I can go in over the weekend or sometime very soon to look at actual brides' albums from each of the available photographers - and then we'll just pick the style we like best!

Jay is very popular at Duet among all the photographers. He's the top among all photographers to get booked first. I had a choice between Danny and TJ since my wedding falls on a busy month. I'm glad, I met with Danny and went through his work. His team is phenomenal. They're the best! He's an amazing photographer and all of our pictures were beautiful! His team are very dedicated workers and attentive to everyone's needs. I would highly recommend Danny, he was great to work with for our wedding! You won't be disappointed!
