I would go for the circles...I'm %100 Italian and the flowers just seem very ginny goom-bah-ish

circles!!! i have those plates but we have the graphite color...the darker blues and i LOVE them!! everytime i use one i love them more and more

Besides just the aesthetic reason, two more reasons I like the flowers better:

(1) the circles are kinda all over the plate... I don't want brown stuff on my plates when I'm serving food. they disrupt the way the food looks. yes, I'm that ridiculous about what I cook and the plates I put them on

(2) b/c the flowers are on the sides, it'll encourage you to fill just the center of the plate... and not over indulge. just a tiny bonus.
