Which reception place?

I now that all of these venues are very different but I think all have some potential. What do you think and why?

No it isn't Scotto Brothers. It is very pretty though. My high school prom was there and it was very pretty.

Miller Place Inn because it was my second choice and its one of the few on the list I haven't been to for a wedding

Miller Place Inn--looks like a gorgeous place, one wedding at a time. I have never been to a wedding there.

Also, I am not sure but I believe that Watermill was not a Scotto Bros. place but then recently became one. I've been to a wedding at Watermill. Food is great at Watermill but I think I'd like Miller Place Inn's ambiance better.

The Watermill. The Scottos Bros. own that as well as 3 other catering halls on the island. My FH and I worked there for years and we are getting married there as well. They make sure everything is perefect on your wedding day. If you decide to go look there, ask for Sean or Bruce. They are both great. Good luck!

Re: Which reception place?

the only two places that i have gone to see on your list were chateau la mer and Miller Place Inn. I was interested in Watermill, however, we were told they only have ceremonies at the hall on saturday, so that was out. I did have my prom there a couple of years ago and from what I can remember it was nice.

Chateau was okay. The lobby was pretty but the upstairs room was nothing special to me. The bridal suite was small, but comparable in size to some others that I have seen. I think the real big turn off was the guy we met with. He seemed like he wasnt even expecting us. That was just my experience with them, others seem to have a lot better experience.

Miller Place Inn was my choice. I just fell in love with it the moment I saw it. The rooms are gorgeous, I just love the whole set up. It doesnt seem to be a popular choice among brides as opposed to some other halls, which I think that also kinda stood out to us. We wanted a place that was 'different'. We didnt want our guests to have to go to another place where 'everyone' gets married.

my taste tends to go with picking the place that is the least popular, but still beautiful . ..

I love the atmosphere for Jericho Terrace. I think it is so beautiful!

I'm with 12-3 Princess--I like the fabulous, but maybe not as popular spots. The 'hidden gems'. I would wait to SEE all the places in person before making any judgements.

I chose Timber Point, because that is where my wedding was! The places are all very different--I wanted understated elegance on the water. It was excellent and the food was amazing. But, I would not have chosen it if I was having a large wedding--to me it fits 150 or under comfortably though they say it can hold 250. We only looked at places that had one wedding at a time on the water.

ETA: I think you will find that fewer people have been to Timber Point, and therefore it will receive fewer votes.

I've been to North Ritz, Watermill and Jericho Terrace, and I like NRC the best. The food is gret, the atmosphere is great, and I remember having the best time there.

I chose North Ritz Club because they have one wedding at a time and they food is amazing. We opted against it because of the outdoor chapel. But we went to a wedding there and loved it.
