we did #1 and i was a little disappointed (i dont remember why i just remember thinking this is the salad!??! it looked better on paper).
Also, it is a very good point about nut allergies and even lactose intolerance with the cheese....i did not realize that the salads are on the table when guests come into the room; so they had to take the salad as is. i assumed they would have been able to tell the waiter if they had any issues and wanted it without nuts and or cheese etc

here is a picture of salad #1 - my bm told me at the final food selection meeting that they added in crunchy noodles to the salad...

I'd eat number 1 but I love stinky cheese. Everyone that went to my tasting vetoed the salad with gorgonzola

I think that the majority of your guests would enjoy number 2... although I am sure you can't go wrong with either, they sound delicious. I am mostly thinking of the men... most won't order a salad with cranberries I don't think.

Two is great- but it's the safe choice.

Listen to the brides who have been there and had the salad- they know best!!
