Which 'traditional' wedding songs did you play at your Reception??
So ladies...thought this might be fun.
I've found that when I've gone to weddings people have a blast with the 'traditional' wedding songs. It seems like people just LOVE these!!
By traditional I mean song like:
The Chicken Dance Shout (I always think of The Wedding Crashers when I hear this song) The Electric Slide
Why don't we list which ones we played or will play at our receptions? Are there any stories of people with these songs?

I really wanted the cha cha slide played and it was on my list but they never put any of the traditional songs on- which was my only complaint- they usually draw people to the dance floor

I actually did a DO NOT PLAY list with all of those songs on them, but my mom INSISTED we do HOT HOT HOT conga line.

i didn't mention any of those with the DJ, but i actually do have a lot of fun with those group dances. The only one i told him that i have to have is the 'Electric Slide' because when we were little, my sisters and cousins all made a dorky dance group called the 'Shunzkles' (it's a mix of our last names). We'd go to beaches and perform The Electric Slide. People would always stop and watch us. haha. I think I was like 6-yrs-old then. So now at each of our weddings, we always have the dj play that song and the 'Shunzkles' all get onto the dance floor

Shout, Conga Line and The Cha Cha Slide are all I can remember. It's so funny, I totally forgot about the Conga line until just now -- the day went by so fast. We did Hands Up also which was so fun until the DJ played it forever and had me in front of everyone trying to do the dance!!

I told the DJ none of them. No group dancing at all. So I would say none.
