i was showing FH all the amazing card boxes we could get custom made for the wedding. he asked if we could just have a burlap sack with a dollar sign painted on it whats everyone else doing? lol

my brother did a mail box with their last name on it. I really liked it but I dont want to be a copy cat. Im planning on either buying one off ebay or using a wooden box from ac moore and painting it. We'll see how enthusastic I get.

I'm thinking of making my own cardbox, something that looks similar to the modernbride cardbox, only because i can't imagine spending $100 for something that I know me and my moh can make

people used to have receiving lines, where all your guests would line up, say hi to you and give you your gift. kinda tacky in my opinion, but thats how it used to be done.

we will probably do a money bag that FH will carry. I have heard horror stories where either the card box or cage gets carried out by someone, saying they are taking it to the brides car, or they go to check it and someone has takken all the gift cards and money

Depending on the style you want, you can get wooden chests from the craft stores, or different size boxes to make one that looks like a cake and have fun with fabric and decorations

i like the different size box ones that look like the cake. I think it will be a fun project for me and my moh to work on, she is very crafty
