Which would you..

Opinions...

We can upgrade our dj package and get the plasmas tvs where his photographer will take pictures all day/night and they'll display on the tvs, we'll have zap shots and the photo montages for our father/daughter mother/son dance. You get all the pictures on a disc at the end of the night

OR

A photo booth. Your guests can act silly and get a photo to take home and we also get a copy of all photos taken..


If you had a choice, which would you do?


It's like... do you want the semi pro pictures or silly photos?

If you get the plasmas you'll have those extra pictures from the DJ and maybe your photographer can also post some pictures of you and your husband that were taken earlier in the day (at the ceremony, etc.) so the guests who couldn't make it to the ceremony can see them.


Photobooths are always a good time but I've gone to a few weddings that had them and the dance floor was more on the empty side b/c people were too occupied with the photobooth. If you only get it for CH, then you won't have to worry about that, but then if that's the case, you're better off going with the plasmas.

Also, its a good size 'booth'... would it be an eye sore in our room?

I vote photobooth.

I am anti plasma screens because I feel like every wedding I go to when they do the montage it totally takes away from the flow of dancing and high energy partying. I always leave saying, 'I feel like I didn't get to dance enough and there were to many lulls.'


Just my honest opinion.

I'd go with photobooth.

I feel like the extra shots of the reception on the screens are overkill on the pics....people should be out dancing and partying, not staring at the screen to wait for their pic to pop up, and you will have a ton of partying pics from your photographer. The photobooth brings in pictures, but a different aspect. And could help to cut the cost of your favors and give that as the favor (that's what we are doing)

I think either way you win!

I would choose photobooth. We DID choose photobooth in fact!

ETA: We chose a larger than normal photobooth, but our room at JT had this perfect little niche in the back where the DJ was so we set up the photobooth there. From the front of the room, you didn't even know it was there. We had the DJ announce that the photobooth was open (it was closed during dinner) and guests were surprised and thrilled! There were always people coming in and out but the dancefloor was still packed!
