Hi girls! What wedding 'time of day' do you think is the best? And if you did book any of these times, what swayed you? Thanks!!

Which would you choose?
FH and I booked a Friday night. FH and I only wanted a Friday or Saturday night. Friday next was cheaper per person. Our venue is only one wedding at a time and we were told if we did a Saturday night, we would have a time limit of what time we could arrive for pictures since more then likely there would be an event going on Saturday during the day. They hardly ever do events on Friday afternoons so we are allowed to arrive whatever time we want to take pictures

I voted for Saturday day since that is what FH and I are doing.
We not only got a great rate but I just felt like we aren't the up late partying type of people so for us a day wedding suited our personalities more. Our wedding will be over at 6 and we are like ok maybe we will hang at the hotel bar with everyone for a little while then head up to our suite, eat, open envelopes, relax and enjoy our first night being married alone! It also was beneficial because we are leaving the very next day on our honeymoon and we didn't want to be up all night to where our first day married was an exhausted mess.

Ideally, a Saturday night would be a great option. However, pricing was ridiculous at most places for Saturday evenings, so we decided on a Friday or Sunday night because we just didn't want to do a daytime wedding because we wanted it to be a late-night party with lots of drinking and dancing (my FH's family is super irish and wouldn't have it any other way LOL)... Then my mom had the memorial weekend idea, so we got the Sunday pricing for basically a Saturday night anyway!

This exactly. I chose Sunday it Memorial Day first for religious reasons (FH's family is Jewish so Friday night and pretty much all day Saturday wouldn't work) but then we got the added bonus of Sunday pricing with a Saturday feel. if a holiday weekend isn't available I would go with Friday night. Since most people don't work on Saturday I feel like they might stay later than a Sunday night.

This is what I did but for Columbus day weekend. On your poll I did pick Friday night because I think that is a better option than a regular Sunday nigh. If you can find a venue with a holiday weekend still available I would say 100% go for that! Also, the night before Thanksgiving has been becoming more popular.

I originally wanted a Saturday night but they offered me a good deal to switch to Sunday night and its the day before Labor Day so in my mind its just like a Saturday night because everyone has off the next day!

Sorry for the double post but the reason I did not want Friday is because I am getting married in a church at 2:00 and I knew people would not be able to come on a Friday afternoon to the ceremony

I always dreamed of having a Saturday night wedding but when I went to my venue the price difference from a Friday night to a Saturday night was insane. There was no way I could pass up the Friday night price.

I always wanted a saturday night wedding but Saturdays are crazy priced. So fh and I picked a sunday of a holiday weekend so we can have the evening wedding we wanted. We had no intentions of a friday night because fh is a sanitation worker and a lot of friends hes inviting have to work saturdays.

I voted for Saturday by accident. I really wanted to vote for Friday night since that's what FH and I are doing. It's great b/c then you give your guests the entire wknd to recover!

We did a Saturday day wedding. Like others have said before its a better price. I would have done a Friday night but literally our whole guest list is oot so they would have had to maybe take 2 days off from work so we felt bad

I voted for Friday night since that's what we booked, I love having the whole weekend after for my guests to relax/travel and really we are getting the best of both worlds, since its a Holiday (4th of July) no one has work that day and since we are the only Wedding we have the place all day for photos.

I chose Sunday Day, but our wedding is really straddling both day and night. It was the most cost effective for us, and it allows us an extra weekend day to get little things done. It also ends early (9pm) for our guests who have to go back to work the following morning.

I voted for a Friday night. I'm kicking myself now for doing a Saturday night after realizing it would be a $6,000 difference! My mom insisted we do Friday night, but being the stubborn girl I am, I stuck with Saturday night. Oh well! Live and learn :)
