Which would you rather???

Which would you rather???

2 Fish Dishes -Mako and Mahi Mahi
1 Steak

OR

Mako
Cornish Game Hens
Steak

I really want to do 2 fish dishes and 1 steak and forget the chicken option all together BUT the parents think I'm nuts. Keep in mind, my RH is known for their seafood.

i am not a fish eater and i have high cholesterol so for me, having the cornish hens would be the perfect option

Tough decision... I have heard Captain Bills has amazing seafood!!!! But, it's probably a good idea to have a chicken option in there.

i think do 1 fish 1 chicken 1 steak because you have people who dont eat fish or red meat then what do they eat...its good to have 3 different options

Ugh...here's the problem: when we went for our tasting the chicken was sooo dry but any of the seafood they had was beyond AMAZING! I'm worried that the seafood is gonna suck a$$ again and I would hate for people to leave saying it was horrible. I would rather them have to pick the pasta option instead.

Hmm if the chicken is bad, then I would say def leave it out... I would hate the idea of someone leaving the wedding thinking that the food sucks.

Definitely include chicken. Or if you really don't want to, maybe have a vegetarian option? You might alienate a lot of people with only fish and red meat...

I have no clue what Mako is.

I also don't think 'hen' sounds very appetizing at all! Maybe they have another chicken option?

If your place is known for its seafood, it would be odd not to include something that they are well known for. It's like going to a steakhouse and ordering the fish!

I don't think anyone ever orders chicken at a wedding....it's typical to have a chicken, meat, and fish. This is what we're doing, plus a silent vegetarian.

I'd definitely keep a chicken option. Is there another chicken dish? Maybe a different one won't be as dry as what you experienced.

Also, while I happen to love Mako, I think the Mahi Mahi is more recognized and might be something to consider.

There are always going to be picky eaters. There are people who don't eat red meat or seafood. Only chicken. Hell, that sounds like some of my family. So yeah, I think it's important to have at least one chicken option.

I definitely think you should have the chicken option available. Not everyone likes steak or fish so it's good to have that third options.

You will have seafood at CH, too? Right?

I don't know why, but 'silent vegetarian' is cracking me up

'You tell those vegetarians to keep their mouths shut!'

will you hall do a slient chicken option? I'm doing red meat and fish, but my BM said that if on the day of someone tells the waiter that they can't eat either, he'd whip up something nice for me... just like they would if someone was vegiterian/vegan.

ps crashing.... and also ps, this is my 'hyppothetical BM' because i havent booked yet.. I'm still a little torn. lol.

which chicken did you try at the tasting? im getting married there and we had a fabulous chicken at our tasting

i had a hard time with similar things because i am a picky eater and my sister told me i need to appeal to the masses and not just my own preferences so i might say go with the three - fish chicken steak just in case... captain bills isn't just known for the seafood specifically but their food in general

i personally don't like the cornish hen option because I feel it gets kinda messy, but I do think you should have aa chicken option...some people don't eat seafood or red meat.

HTH!!

Hahaha, I totally see that! It's always annoying to have to worry about acommodating vegetarians (my MOH is one, so Im very aware of this), which is why it's really nice that our hall does a silent one!

Def do the two fish options, your at a seafood place!!

all halls always have a vegtarian option, usually something boring like pasta primavera, whether its put on the menu or not.

I would totally pick the Mako if that was an option!

(btw mako is shark)

We had the poyllo chicken and it was soo dry! It was horrible. Did you do your menu yet? We just finalized it the other night and are waiting to speak with the hall to confirm everything.

FYI-hens are just baby chickens and they are stuffed with apple stuffing. And Mako is stark.
