I think they both sound great, but for a wedding, I would give the salmon as a option.

I disagree. I would say the Mako. I really don't know that many people that like Salmon.

Salmon. We had a salmon with a Terriyaki/Asian type of flavor and people loved it. I would also ask your caterer if they would grill it plain upon request. We had that option in case someone didnt like the glaze/marinade. Some of our guests appreciated it.

I would rather have the Mako, I'm just not a salmon girl!

They both sound good but I'd probably pick the salmon.

While some fishlovers don't like salmon, many people haven't heard of or tried mako....and salmon is rather synonymous with weddings....so I say the salmon and I second the idea of seeing if 'plain' is an option for guests. But if you want to be differen't/have something less 'traditional' then go with the mako....i'm sure that the only choice for dinner isn't the fish. I'm still saying salmon, but that's JMO.

I eat lots of fish and If I had the choice of Salmon and chicken or steak, I would not pick the Salmon. I can get Salmon anyday.

Mako is shark and a very hearty meaty fish. If done right, it should be fabulous. Regular fish eaters may like the change of pace with Mako.

Just my 2 cents.

ETA: BTW-I would eat parmesan crusted anything.

The soy ginger sauce just sounds so good. I would opt for the salmon! It's making me hungry!

Re: Which would you rather have?

I would say salmon just because I don't know what mako is, and I'm always afraid to order anything at a wedding I'm not familiar with. If I don't like it, I'm stuck! lol. I also do like salmon, so I would go with that. (btw... did you know salmon has tiny bones? You're supposed to run your fork along the top of the salmon when you get it to make sure there are no bones. I had to go to the emergency room the night before Easter a few years ago because I felt someting in my throat all day. Turns out it was a long, thin salmon bone that was stuck there! It looked like a toothpick! The ENT had to pull it out, and he said if I waited just a few more hours to go in, I would have needed surgery to remove it since tissue would have formed over it! Yikes! You're also not supposed to eat salmon 'encrusted' with anything or combine salmon with other foods in a biteful because a bone could sneak in!). Just an FYI... lol. YET... I still eat salmon (more carefully) and that's still my choice to answer your question.

Re: Which would you rather have?

I would go for mako because of the ginger with the soy sauce.

Love Salmon but the ginger would turn me off.

I love cheese so it's a winner.
