i bought the same chest at michaels but then FMIL was saying thres no lock on it its not safe so we're not using it.

I would hope not, but there were a couple of posts few months back that someone was stealing cardboxs at weddings. I love that treasure chest, but rather not take the chance.

Got the same card box and FH added a small pad lock onto the front. It was pretty easy to do and with the tassel you really can't even see it.
