feel a lot of cramps and the feeling like you were about to get your period? My friend is 6 weeks pregnant and they told her it was normal. We read that it's the uterus stretching. She isn't spotting but is nervous about the period like feeling she's getting. I told her I would ask you ladies, so please get back to me. Thanks

Re: While pregnant did you....
It is normal... I had that with my pregnancy. I know some people get it when they would have gotten their period as well... Just tell her to call her doctor is any spotting occurs...But not to worry, it happens! Tell her Good Luck, Congrats, and a happy healthy pregnancy!

OMG!! This was the first question I was going to ask...I have to go to the doctor to see how far along I am but I thought I was around a month...the cramp and period sensation started around the 28th...and now its more frequent!

Re: While pregnant did you....
She's going this week to get the results from her blood work. She doesn't have the period feeling anymore but gets cramping from time to time more at night. I'm reassuring her that she'll be fine. While online getting info for her I didn't tell her about some of the articles about missed miscarriages. It's so scary. The good thing is that she's not bleeding. I'm also trying to get her to take her prenatal vitamins everyday but she feels like they make her sick and takes them every other day. Any advice on that? Thanks.

NIGHT!!!! I would throw up if I took them during the day... As soon as she lays down and is about to fall asleep... Tell her to take it... And make sure she eats a little something before hand.... Even if its just a cracker... I could only take my prenatal vitamins at night... Its worth her trying... But she really should take them... Night time cramping is normal, at least for me it was... Tell her to try to lay a different way, hopefully she doesnt get bad sciatica like I did! No bleeding, is a VERY good thing... Tell her to relax and she has nothing to worry about... Its all normal and we all go through our fears!

Re: While pregnant did you....
Personally, I'm only 11 weeks now, but a few weeks ago I'd get these sensations at night. I never once threw up and my prenatal vitamins that say to take on an empty stomach (Prima Care) never upset my stomach. It's normal I've head to feel some discomfort, like mild period kind annoyance - I was told if you bleed or the cramping is severe - it can be a problem. Granted my pregnancy 'test' comes in the form of Lovenox shots, I hardly believed I was pregnant in the beginning b/c I had no morning sickness of any kind (God didn't test beyond what I could bare and the Lovenox and a scary Hemotologist were about all I could). Everyone has different experiences is what it seems.
