a couple of months ago i found out on liw that you can send an invitation to the president & you will receive a congratulatory note. in the june/july issue of Modern Bride it gives the info of where to send it. so i figured i would post it for anyone else who would like to do this:
The Honorable Barack Obama and Mrs. Obama The White House Greetings Office, Room 39 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Washington, DC 20500

Yeah, that is totally something FH and I are doing. He thinks it's silly but I think it's kinda cool! Besides, you usually have a few extra invites so why not send them out?
I heard Oprah also sends a congrats note but I don't know if it's true.
I'm a total dork and will be sending one to the Pearl Jam fan club (loooooove them!) in hopes of a congrats note.
