I think we are doing one of each this year. So now I am trying to decide if the upstairs tree (that is infront of a window that you can see on the street) should get white or multi colored or the one that is in the living room should get the multi colored or white.

My FH & I have a problem. I like the multi-color (non-blinking.) He likes the white. This is our first Xmas living together. I'm not sure how we're going to agree on this one...

Definitely multi-colored lights. People use too much of the white lights usually. White lights aren't bad, they just look better if you use them in the right place.

I can go either way but since our tree is pre-lit with white lights...I'll go with that We did add a few strands of red lights to add some more color.

i like white and my dh likes colored lol the fights we had our first year putting up a tree lol. we even fought about it when it came to the wedding because i had potted birch all over the room and he wanted them to have colored lights which would have defeated my porpose lol. so he lost that one but we are going to put colored lights on our christmas tree if we are ever in the house

We're opposite -- white in the center ... multi for the outside.

I like multi-colored but I found multi-colored w/ just red, green and blue. I'm not a fan of the multi w/ pink and yellow and all those colors. That's too many colors for me.

You can always do what my IL's have done - alternate years! One year they have white, the next they do multi-color.

For us we do multi-color on our tree, non-blinking.

I like both but usually I do multi-colored outside and white inside (and either on the tree).

we mix it. Make it a row of multi, row of white, row multi, etc. I like white, he likes multi, so we compromise.
