I mean who knew there were so many shades of white for your walls and ceiling? Behr must make 25 different whites. How do you pick? We brought home a bunch of swatches and are looking at them in the daylight and electric light. Any other suggestions?

Re: White paint
We used antique white. Get a sample & pain it on the wall & look at it in daylight, next to lamplight etc...

Re: White paint
my husband thought I was crazy when we went to pick out the white paint for the living room and dining room and I picked a particular one. I told him that it had a hint of green in it and it would pick up the rug color nicely. We put it on the walls...and what do y ou think he said....Wow this paint had a hint of green in it! Men...they are so funny sometimes!!
Anyway, just make sure that if you are looking for white, do not get one that may have a color tint.
Good Luck!

Re: White paint
I found it helped if I held a swatch up against a piece of plain white copy paper. It's easy to see the undertone or tint in the swatch if you have a pure white to compare it to.

Re: White paint
My favorite is Benj Moore's Linen White, it is much softer than the classic Decorators White (which is great for ceilings!) Good luck...

Re: White paint
Ohhhh I used linen white on the ceiling in my living room and I love it. Its a blue and white room. I always dreamed of it. Originally we had gotten antique lace and it was soooooo yellow!

Re: White paint
We used Benjamin Moore navajo white. It's a nice soft white, not too bright
