White vs. Ivory

White vs. Ivory

My head is spinning and I am so indecisive, which is probably my biggest problem. I would love to have everyone's opinion.

When I found my dress the sample was an exclusive dress that was only in Ivory (no way to view online or a magazine). Initially, it was ordered in Ivory and then realized I wanted White (kept going back in forth). My white dress just arrived and I went to see it tonight, and I LOVE my dress!

But, now I am comparing both pictures and I think the Ivory looks a little bit nicer. I have pics in my album, I would love to hear everyone's opinions. The beading on the white looks like its more gold than silver. It may even be too late to exchange for the Ivory.

So indecisve!

The pics of you in the dress.....is that white or ivory? I really can't tell the difference. Regardless, it's a beautiful dress and personally I think the pics in the white look great. I kind of see what you mean about the beading, though I think it may just be the lighting in the room. It's a semi-dark pic which might make the detailing darker.

Either way, it's beautiful!

Oh......and happy 1 year mark Supertwin!!!!!!!!

I like the white. My cousin wore that dress (well the top was the same) and it looked beautiful in white!

Very Exciting!

Just so many decisons!!! When I first saw my dress tonight, I loved it! It wasn't until I was comparing the Ivory vs. white, i started to second guess myself.

Yes, you are right - the dress was hanging in the changing room - and I snapped a few quick photos, with the door shut and not much light. The room was very dim and much darker, so I was thinking possibly the same thing with the beading.

I can really drive myself crazy by over analyzing every single detail! I feel much better after reading your post and the other girl too!

As I mentioned to Laura above, I can drive myself a little crazy when I start to analyze everything. I really do love the white, just want to make sure I was making the right decision.

Now I can put my mind to rest and try to get some sleep!

Personally, I prefer ivory over white. I wore an ivory Eve of Milady strapless ballgown w/ gold embroidery on my wedding day and it match my skin tone and DH's tux. However, it varies from person to person depending on their skin tone and how they wear their make-up and hair. The pic shown in ivory shows a distinct tanner color compared to white. If it was a little off white, it would be perfect, however in that shade it appears to be a bit too dark for your skin tone. If you're looking to stand out, white would be your best choice.

I like them both. Your dress is gorgeous and I think whichever color you wear will be perfect. its hard to tell the white vs. ivory because I feel as though the pictures you have of the dress in whtie are a bit 'off color' so you cant see the true white color.

Thanks so much girls!!! I really appreciate it! My gut is telling me white …this is the color I really love the best for myself & my dress. I just want to call the bridal store and just ask them about them beading, I just thought the beading would look more silver. But, overall I love the dress in white.

go with your gut.

i am wearing ivory, but only because my skin is really pale and i am getting married in december, and the white didn't look so great against my pale white skin.

I just called Paradise Bridals and asked about the beading, and asked if it was silver because it really doesn't look like it to me. They said it's def, silver....I dont know if I should go back and look at it in the light. I would need to call soon before they send my dress to the storage facility or maybe I should stop obsessing over it.

Many people say that if your skin is fair than you can't wear white. Well, I am super fair and I'm still wearing white. I even wore white for my epics. Check them both out in my album. I think I look good.

i am wearing a private label dress in white. i like the white from private label instead of the ivory. different companies have different types of white and ivorys.

but you still have time so order the one that you feel better in. hope this helps.

I agree, I really do love the white and will be keeping the white. The beading is just throwing me off a little, but I am hoping it's just the dull room with very bad lighting. Then, I was told by a fellow LIW bride that possibly its the threading color, which i had no idea about.
