to your shower? is it all girls? just family & bridal party? etc?
Also, all of FH's family is from Kansas - do we invite them - or just sisters & nieces? I know none of them will come, but i don't know who to invite!! Aghhhh

Re: who are you inviting...
my list is all of the women that are invited to the wedding. it has 46 adults & 2 kids (my nieces).
FH has some family in Ohio & they are on the list. i figured its polite to invite them.

Re: who are you inviting...
I am guessing mine will be like my sis; close family (women) and close friends from both sides ..... we have a lot of immediate family, so just them alone (women) is about 35....plus FH aunts and cousins so I think we will be at about 70????? i dont even know but I don't think it will be every woman from the wedding

even all your OOT friends??? i feel bad asking my friends from virginia to come up to NY 2 months in a row for me & give me gifts! Even FH's family, i never met most of his aunts/cousins so i KNOW they're not gonna come to the shower - but do i still invite them?

Re: who are you inviting...
Any female that is invited to the wedding will be invited to the wedding... now I know a hand full (or more) that probably couldn't come but I don't want anyone to feel left out if they didn't get the invite.
EDIT: I should also state that pretty much all the females invited to the wedding are family, close friends, and a few co-workers (who also count as close friends).
I'm just inviting female friends and family members and FH's family members.

Well as far as the OOT, I have the same issue. FI has a lot of family in Europe. I am going to leave it up to FMIL to decide which females from their side should get an invite. She would know better than me.
EDIT: pressed enter too quickly...
Maybe you should ask your Mom or FMIL who they feel should get invites. They may say you don't need to invite the OOT.

I would invite them anyway they may send you a gift! I am inviting just family and my friends about 20-30 people.

Re: who are you inviting...
my MOH was in charge of this, there are some people I said not to invite and other FMIL said not to invite (since most of the guest list are from them...) But I think invites went to all the women on my list, about 50-60. A lot of them are out of town though, so maybe 30 will show?

Re: who are you inviting...
shower guest lists are fun
i have a LOT of family who live in texas, so im having a shower down there april 3 with about 17 people-family and friends (obviously i know when it is bc i need plane tickets)
up here, im prob. inviting all the women, but i guess it really depends on who they want to pay for-i think the list is around 50 including some oot that may or may not come

Re: who are you inviting...
i invited co-workers, friends and some family. just the family that live in new jersey and pennsylvania that we keep in contact with, not the family that we're inviting from south carolina and florida that we haven't spoken to in a long time.
