I use liberty mutual....I have all my insurance through them; my renter's, our cars, our life insurance, everything.

I have Statefarm. The insurance is a little cheaper since we took apartment insurance also.

I have Chubb. They are a little more expensive... but if the ring ever gets lost... they just cut you a check for the appraisal price... usually no questions asked.

Good enough peace of mind for me.

Travler's. We use them for renters insurance as well. I'm not sure how much it is since FH pays, but I don't think it's expensive. I highly recommended Traveler's from e-ring insurance though--we needed to have the ring restored (it's a family heirloom) because the platinum was a little thin and the reimbursed us the FULL $1400 for it.

Allstate said that we had bad credit which is true for me, lol, but not for FH who is doing the insurance without my name. They also said that we don't live in a safe neighborhood and all sorts of drama. Our neighborhood is fine, we don't live in an area where crime is rampid. Knock on wood the only crime was a man who murdered his wife. I made him a list of people to contact tommorrow State Farm, Chubbs, Traveler's and Jewlery Mutual. Ty all and keep the suggestions coming.

You can only buy Chubb through an agent. If you need one... let me know via FM and ill get you the contact info of the guy that set mine up.

We use geico for cars but FI says they won't offer enough ins. on the ring. I think the FI is just being difficult.

I assume you had an appraisal...they will not insure it for the appraised value or they won't give you replacement value? 2 different things, although I'm not sure I'm using the correct terminology.

We have ours with Hanover on our renter's policy. We used an agent and they were the lowest we found.

We used State Farm.

We don't need an appraisal because it came with certification and all that stuff.

If you want to be insured for the proper amount, I strongly suggest you get the ring appraised by an independent (i.e., not from a retail store) appraiser. If there's no value on the certification, you're running the risk of not having proper coverage. JMO.
