Hi girls, I searched for a post like this but can't seem to really find a good one.....sooooo.....can you please tell me who will be doing (or who did) your makeup for your wedding???
Also, my face tends to get shiny after a few hours (ahhhhh...) so i'm hoping to find someone who uses makeup that doesn't contain lots of oil in it...do you think airbrushing will be good for that??? i dont' want to constantly apply powder all day & i don't want my face to appear shiny in my photos....

I am using Jen from FairyTail Makeovers for my wedding on Nov23!! I have the same problem where after an hour or so my skin gets a little oily, but I think those little oil absorbing paper sheets they sell for this really help. At my trial I got the airbrishing done and I think it was better then if I had a liquid foundation put on, but I think I will still use something to blot the oil every hour or so. Good Luck!!

I used Ellen from Christopher Jon's in Sayville. She was amazing. One piece of advice - Get the Clean and Clear oil-absorbing powder. I used it once or twice all day and my face didn't look shiny at all. It doesn't affect your make-up whatsoever.

My girlfriend got married last year and recommended her makeup artist. Her name is Lori ... I went to her for a trial & LOVED her! She'll come to the house & she's resonable. I went before my engagement pic's & they really came out good.

She also recommended her partner for hair & when I went for a trial on Tues, I was ecstatic!!! Not having to leave the house in the morning will make it so much easier for us all!!! I posted her # yesterday under 'I had a hair trial last night!'
I would definitely recommend them both!

A lot of people here are very happy with Jacqueline Nicole (Abbreviated as JN). She books up fast though. She was booked for the day. I found a great makeup artist from Sheseido and she is coming to my house and doing my bridal party and mom that day.

I'm using Jillian from Gorgeous Faces. I had my trial and loved her! She comes to your house, which I really wanted! I know a bunch of brides on here have already used her (there is a post today about a wedding on 10/20 that used her). I would definitely call her for a trial.

I used JN for my makeup and she was fabulous! She was also so sweet, which makes it so much easier when you're getting ready that morning.
I have very oily skin and I had the airbrushing. It doesn't help the oiliness, but I did carry around blotting sheets with me that helped. Since the airbrushing stays put, all that blotting didn't rub the makeup off.
Try and get a trial with her if she's not booked. She's great!

For my make-up, I used Dunja from Salon Danielle Loren in Jericho but she came out to my hotel the day of the wedding and did my make-up. Here contact info is:

She did a wonderful job and I would highly recommend her to anyone. I don't really wear a lot of make-up on a daily basis but she made me look beautiful and I didn't even feel goopy or anything like that. She charged me $100 for being the bride but only $30 for bridesmaids and others. This was her price because she came to my hotel b/c the salon was closed on my wedding day (July 4th). I'm sure that if you go to the salon it might be a bit cheaper. I'd call and ask. She does trials too. If you have more questions, I can be contacted at [email protected].

I used Jade Kessel who also does airbrush. She is so sweet and my make-up was stunning. I did not need powder all day but I did freshen up at the end. Her number is 631-724-5564. I cant tell you how wonderful she was and how happy I was with my make-up.

I used Jennifer from Fairytale Makeovers, she is a doll, works fast and is so sweet. My makeup did not move all day, the only thing that I had to touch was my lipstick

I used Jennifer from Fairytales Makeovers. She was great. She did my hair as well. I too have oily skin & did the airbrush. It lasted all night and I wasn't shinny at all. I didn't need to blot once. Just a touch up on lipstick. I had a trial w/ Elena but felt she used too much makeup. The airbrush is the way to go. I would definitly recommend it.
