I hate those hotels, they totally screw with you.
I actually called both best western and the new one, holiday inn.
They both said there is no way to block rooms, they are booked completely.
A month ago my sister called the Holiday Inn Express East End, and booked a room for 150. I think it maybe only be for a Sunday though.
They are totally trying to take advantage they know the area is hot right now and there are very few reasonable places to stay.

I booked at the best wester east end and had no problems with them at all they were blocked at 189 but that was last year that i blocked them, i never had a problem with them...ask to speak with kristen shes the one who deals with blocking rooms over there

That's what I was quoted but if you go to book the room OUTSIDE the block it's $169 and $152 with AAA. How is a room block more expensive than a regular booking?

that is weird i guess its just making sure theres definitely enough rooms for your wedding, i never checked the rate if i booked it outside of a block but all my guests were very happy with the hotel
