Such as toasting flutes, any props you might have (we do letters, card boxes, etc)

I split it up between the parents.
My IL's took home the flutes, my BoK (to dry it nice, but it was too late - white roses don't last )
My parents took home the baskets that were holding my favors, extra favors that I had and cake topper/cake servers.

I gave my MIL the cake and the gifts because she wasn't staying at the hotel. I gave my mother other stuff like (flutes, unity candle, ..etc.) It worked out well because after the honeymoon we stopped at each house and picked up our stuff that we needed.

I'm asking MIL to take it all home. She also has a big fridge. MY MOH lives out of state and my mom's deceased.
I feel bad because my two SIL's and their families will be staying with them and she has enough to do but there really isn't any other choice.

We split it up between our parents. My father took my viel, shoes, pocketbook, shawl, food, top of cake home with him. My MIL took home everything else.

I think some individual guests took their uneaten entrees home ( grandparents) but other than that they just gave us the top of the cake. tey packaged up the flutes, etc & my parents took them. I didn't even see how that happenned--if my parents asked, or the maitre d ' asked who was taking them .

My parents and my ILs took everything home, but it wasn't really a big deal. My hall packed everything up for us and put it on a rolling cart. All we had to do was pack it in the car.

i believe that my mom and sister are going to be taking everything home for me. only becuase the IL's live out of state.
