We just got a new digital camera (our first one) in August off
Buydig.com it is a Nikon Coolpix 4300, it was a bit steep (we got the case, extra memory card & cleaner too) for $400. online
In the stores it was retailing for $450 with nothing extra.
YET from our first picture they are clear, the camera is easy to operate and the battery power lasts.
It has 4 megapixels. I think there is a 3400 also, I'm sure it would work just as well.
Do a search online for digital camera comparisons & you will get a BUNCH of reviews, prices, etc.

Our is the Olympus d-560 Zoom- It is on sale in Target this week less then $300 and we love it! Make sure you get the larger disk!

I had the d-460 zoom, and loved it, but I wanted something SMALLER. The powershot just fits in my pocket.

Until FI lost it on a golf trip we had the Canon A300 (?) and I really didn't like it that much (always had issues downloading pictures). Would LOVE A Nikon Coolpix but I'd also really love a digital camera that was also a camcorder!!!

I had a digi camera but I don't remember what kind it was. Panasonic I think. I liked it. It was $100 but I got it on sale and it only had 2 mgs which now is low. At the time it was on the low end but pics weren't that bad on it at all.

I have a Kodak digital camera that was in Circuit City for about $200. I love this camera but I didn't pay for it b/c it came with my computer.

I have a canon powershot, I LOVE it!!! Its small, takes videos, takes great pictures, bought it at Best buy, but BJ's had it 20 bucks cheaper!!!

I have the cannon Elph s230 I think. I love it I think it was like 400.00 FH bought it for me for my bday!
we have a Nikon Coolpix 2100, it has a great zoom and its real easy to use

I have a kodak DX3700. It has 3.1megapixels, a 3x zoom. It takes excellent really clear pictures. For example of the pictures, look at my page here:pbase.com
