So when its time for boquet toss and they call all the 'single' ladies to the dance floor, does that include all NON-MARRIED ladies? As an engaged woman, is it innapropriate to try and catch the bouquet??

Our dj announced all non-married (or un-happily married!! ) ladies to the floor. So, I guess technically engaged can but I probably wouldn't have when I was engaged.

i went to the wedding of an LIW girl and she 'forced' us all to go and try to catch the bouquet ... it was fun .... i didn't catch it though
so to answer your question, i'd say it's anyone who's unmarried

i always thought of it as everyone single in the that they are not married - so that would include engaged. I caught the bouquet at FSIL's wedding this past May!
EDIT: also, side note... FH caught the garter - staged much? LOL

IDK, we were at a wedding last week and the DJ called all the ladies and me and my gf went to go up but then the DJ said 'anyone without a ring on their finger' We didn't go up b/c we thought... we'll we have an engagement ring on our finger...

think about it this way if u are filling out paperwork u either check single or married....there is no box for engaged, technically you are still single

This is exactly what I always think too.. its single or married, no inbetween!
Ill have to let my BFF/MOH know, she never went up when she had a bf cuz she thought ur not supposed to. Ill really have to convince her now that she's engaged. Lol

I thought the tradition was that whoever caught it would be the next to get married...I thought that would exclude engaged girls bc we've basically got that in the bag. I haven't gotten up since getting engaged. Isn't the 'lucky guy' supposed to be the garter catcher in theory?
Eh...I guess at the end of the day it doesn't hurt.

Especially since I don't know if all of them will go up, maybe some will feel too embarrassed that they're still single. Which is fine, they can choose to go up or not, but then like I said, not sure if there are enough single ladies to do it.

When I was engaged I didn't go up. But to get a bigger crowd, our DJ called up every non-married woman- including the engaged ladies.
