Who chose your mother/son dance song?

Just wondering who picked the mother/son dance for your wedding? My daughters FMIL picked a stupid song that doesn't fit them at all. My daughter had suggested Celine Dion - Because You Loved me. His mom wasn't crazy about it, probably because my daughter suggested it and not her son. She had FH listen to the song his mom chose, he didn't like it, so my daughter told him to tell his mom he likes the Celine Dion song. He doesn't think it should be his job to chose the song! Thanks

The song his mom chose was by Helen Reddy, You and Me Against the World. We listened to the words, and they have no meaning whatsoever to their life. That song sounds like something for a mother/child who noone else in their lives except each other, which is not their case. His mom is a little flaky and he just feels 'it's not his place' to pick the song!!

It's not your daughter's choice. It isnt about her, its about her FH and his mother. She should stay out of it.

Ditto....it is mother/son song and your daughter should let them pick what they like together. She can, of course, make suggestions but ultimately it is what they like.

that's one thing i REFUSE to get involved in. i'm doing almost everything else, so those guys can choose their OWN song. fh is a musician though and will probably take the reins w/o much encouragement.

let them worry about it and agree on something. you have enough on your plate.

The song is the mother/son dance, not daughterin law/mother/son/dance. Let her fiance and FMIL pick whatever song they agree on...its their dance afterall...
