Who choses and pays for the flower girl dresses..

and doesn the ring bearer wear a tux or a suit? Thanks ladies...

Not sure, however I am paying for everything for my wedding I don't want any problems and I have full control

I bought my niece her flower girl dress. I found one in a boutique that wasn't too expensive. There are also very nice dresses on ebay for about $35.

My ringbearer is wearing a tux, and I guess we will be paying for that too. Their parents are already in the wedding, and I felt that they shouldn't bear the extra cost because their kids are such cuties and I HAD TO HAVE THEM IN MY WEDDING!!!

We are likely going to TRY to pay for the Jr. Bridesmaid's dress and the ring bearer's tux. I say try because...well I don't know if we'll have the money for it.

Yes...my ring bearer is wearing a tux...in my family, the parents of the flower girl and ring bearer pay for the tux/dress. In my case, I dont have a ring bearer, I have two flower girls and their parents are paying for their dresses.

My FH's Aunt, who is the grandmother of the FG, paid for her dress. Otherwise, I think the parents commonly do. I know my parents did when i was a flower girl! I told them what I liked though, and they got something similar. My RB will be wearing a tux.

If you DONT pay for the flower girl dresses, is it OK to still decide what dress she wears? Or does this mean the parents pick the flower girl's dress? If so, then I would rather pay for it...

I think the parents of the FG pay for the dress. In my case, my three nieces are FGs so my mom paid for their dresses (grandmas are good like that I chose the dress, along with my mom and the FGs' moms.

In this case, I don't think you can dictate what the FG wears. I was asked what I liked by my FG's grandmother. My FG tried it on and they loved. I think the most you can do is suggest, or collaborate, but you can't demand what the FG wear if you're not paying.

I was ALWAYS under the impression that the flower girl dresses were just like BM dresses, you choose, they pay. At least, that's the standard for everyone I know, and that is what I am doing.

The FG's mother is paying for the dress. She is helping me pick it out. We both have the same taste and style so that is why we are choosing together.

I would like to add that I offered to pay for the FG dress and her mother thought I was crazy because she, too, has always believed it was the parents' responsibility to pay for it.
